John C. Cooney - Of Counsel
Criminal Law
One of the founding partners of the firm, John has 38 years legal
experience as a former Assistant Attorney General, Prosecuting Attorney,
Spokane County District Court Judge, and 26 years in private practice.
John received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Gonzaga University
in 1963 and 1966, respectively. He is a member of Spokane County
and Washington State Bar Associations, as well as the Washington
State Trial Lawyers Association, and Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He
is admitted to all state courts and the Federal Court of Eastern
Washington.
As an experienced courtroom advocate, John has handled thousands
of DWI defenses and felony cases as a prosecutor, judge, and private
practitioner.
